Spa and Beauty

Seven Colours Spa
The Seven Colours Spa brand was conceived on the island of Mauritius, an ideal Spa destination, renowned all over the world for its multicultural way of life. Seven Colours celebrates the art of wellbeing, turning it into a whole philosophy: a unique approach that is based on the interaction and balance of life giving energies and colours... a synthesis of ancestral therapies, stimulation of the senses, and the benefits of nature.

Inspired by this oriental philosophy of the Chakras, the Seven Colours concept is based on the interaction and balance of the energies and colours that revitalise us.

The Seven Colours Spa has a floor area of 3,000m2 with:

  • 20 treatment rooms
  • 7 massage rooms of which 3 are double
  • 2 massage kiosks on the beach
  • Vichy showers
  • Steam baths
  • A huge sauna with a cold water pool
  • A pool with eddying currents
  • Divans in kiosks especially provided for relaxation
  • One consulting room where tailor-made treatment programmes can be discussed

The Seven Colours Ritual:
VIOLET, INDIGO, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, ORANGE and RED each comprise 4 complementary treatments.

At Seven Colours Spa, each client is treated as a unique individual, with his or her own dominant energies and weaker energies. In order to recognise and respect these unique characteristics, Seven Colours offers a personalised experience to each client and clients can also choose a tailor made programme, but all within an environment suffused in positive energy, colours, fragrances and music.

These rituals are associated with a range of Seven Colours cosmetics, consisting of skilfully created mixtures of essential oils from Madagascar, 100% natural and grown organically on the Indian Ocean Island.

Besides the treatments based on the Seven Colours rituals, the Spa also offers totally original massage treatments called “Signature treatments” such as the Seven Colours massage in which hot semiprecious stones are used to stimulate the 7 chakras. These personalised relaxation treatments cancel out stress and rebalance energy centres.

Explore the surroundings

Destination introduction

On your holiday in Mauritius, you can expect paradisiacal sweeps of tranquil white sands, backdrops of rugged, rainforest-carpeted mountains and some of the world’s finest accommodation.

Many of our fantastic Mauritius hotels offer championship golf courses. You'll also find sublimely pampering spas throughout and a flavoursome local cuisine influenced by the whole Indian Ocean shore and beyond.

Mauritius holiday highlights
  • Your Mauritius holiday should include a round of golf on one of the island's breathtaking championship courses.
  • Take an exhilarating deep-sea fishing expedition to catch marlin and shark.
  • Head to Port Louis' market, with its intoxicating smell of spices and fresh tea leaves.Upgrade to private transfers at a selection of hotels and you'll be able to check-in for your flight at your hotel.

Shopping

Curepipe is the most reputed spot for tourist shopping but Port Louis is quite good as well.

Chinese and Indian merchants will dazzle you with sari lengths in shimmering silk or cotton. Hand-woven saris and blouses are the most attractive. Shirts, dresses and even knitwear are likely to be better bargains than back home.

Baskets, hats, fans, table napkins and tablemats provide inexpensive souvenirs of island handicrafts. Along with a whole range of shell jewellery and ornaments, there are objects in wood and jade. Straw figurines, dolls and macrame complete a particularly varied range of local handicrafts. Models of boats and old sailing ships are often beautifully made. Numerous excellent craftsmen in Curepipe compete for attention. Duty-free goods include cameras, watches-and diamonds.

Bargaining is not going to get you very far, except possibly in markets and with beach hawkers. Each town will have its boutik, a little local shop stocking everything, but there are plenty of supermarkets, too.

Rum and rum-mixes will recall sunny memories of your Mauritian visit, or you can toast your return with locally grown tea.
