Destination introduction
Holidays to Koh Samui equal white sand beaches fringed with coconut palms, clear waters, cool ocean breezes and superb bars and restaurants. Kuoni offers a great selection of Koh Samui hotels, many with incredible spas. This tropical little island is ideal for rejuvenation and respite.
Koh Samui’s famous Chaweng Beach boasts miles of powdery white sand and is the most popular spot, with plenty of watersports and great swimming on offer. The northern end is shallower and ideal for children.
Koh Samui highlights: - Take the bridge to the small island of Koh Fan and visit Koh Samui’s most famous landmark, the golden Big Buddha. Housed at the Phra Yai Temple, Lord Buddha is over 12m high and can even be seen when arriving by air.
- An island of natural beauty, the waterfalls of Na Muang 1 and 2 offer stunning views, refreshing plunge pools and beautiful scenic walks. Take good walking shoes as Na Muang 2 can only be reached by hiking.
- The Full Moon Party takes place every month on the full moon and is a spectacular outdoor beach party featuring great DJ’s, entertainers, fire poi and dancing that goes on until the sun rises. A memorable party to experience!
- The Secret Buddah Garden is hidden in the hills of Samui and is more difficult to get to, but worth the trek. At 77 years old, Samuian fruit farmer Nim Thongsuk started building this beautiful garden filled with exquisite statues and foliage.
